This illustration was created for The Culinary Institute of America’s 26th Annual Chili Cook-Off. The event takes place on campus each fall where students and staff can judge each entry. The scarecrow theme was really fun to develop. Hailing from Chittenango, NY (birthplace of L. Frank Baum), I channeled my Wizard of Oz roots to create a unique scarecrow character that apparently isn’t very good at his job. Whatever, good chili is good chili.
